Decker Homes 4.0 KW Solar Array Installation

       Decker Homes has successfully completed their 5th solar PV installation on a horse stable in Temperance, Michigan. The power generated from the 4.0 KW solar array is being purchased by Consumers Energy through a new experimental feed in tariff program (called EARP) at the rate of 0.66 cents a KW hour for 12 years. This is Decker Homes first installation in S.E. Michigan under the new program.

      There are here are 20 198 Watt Sharp panels on the roof of the stable that will generate an average of 420 kW hours a month. The project has benefited from a 30% tax credit and the system cost has a estimated 7.5 year pay back. The system was installed by Dovetail Solar and Wind with offices in S.E. Michigan and N.W. Ohio.
